What it is
An online retrospective that feels like a real board.
RetroJoy is a web app for agile retrospectives. Your team writes cards, votes, prioritises and captures action items — live, in the browser, with nothing to install. No spreadsheet energy, no ads, no analytics pixel.
The flow
How a retro runs in RetroJoy.
- 01
Open a room, invite the team
Create a room in seconds and share the link. Sign-in is a magic link — no password. Guests can join from the link.
- 02
Write like you would on the wall
Cards on the board: what went well, what to improve, what is next. Reactions, optional anonymity, live writing — everyone sees the same board.
- 03
Vote and discuss
The team votes and discusses. Timer, polls and quiet music hold the frame without stealing the retro.
- 04
Leave with actions
Next steps are captured and prioritised. The last fifteen minutes are the ones people remember — RetroJoy is built for that.
The product
Everything a good retro needs.
A living board
Sticky notes, columns, reactions, and just enough motion to keep energy up without getting in the way.
Built for the whole team
Live writing, voting, discussion. Facilitator tools so people can actually take part.
From talk to action
Discuss, prioritise, leave with action items. No more retros that evaporate in the hallway.
Tools in the room
Timer, icebreakers, mood check, kudos, one-word, quiet music. Optional, never loud.
One link is enough
Magic-link sign-in. Share a room, join, done. No workshop setup, no plugins.
EU, private, no tracking
Data in Ireland (AWS eu-west-1). No ads, no Google Analytics, no profiling.
Why RetroJoy
Not every board is a retro.
Paper stickies are honest — and often die as a photo in a chat. General whiteboards can do everything, so they rarely do this one thing well. RetroJoy exists only for retrospectives.
Sticky notes
Tangible, local, gone by Friday. Remote teams and the next retro get little from it.
General whiteboard
Powerful, and priced per seat. You rebuild the retro template every time.
RetroJoy
A board for the sprint review: write, vote, actions. You pay for sessions, not a licence per head.
Privacy
Built in Germany. Data in the EU.
RetroJoy is from Deari Software in Wuppertal. The app runs on servers in Ireland. We do not sell data and we do not run ads. The legally maintained privacy policy lives here on deari.de — and in the app.
